“We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children”
Are you aware of the impact that you have on the environment? Human impact on the environment has become one of the main concerns all over the world. Perhaps it’s time to draw attention towards it and put up a big change that would improve our lifestyle and ultimately save our environment.
Here are some reminders about how you can contribute to saving our one and only planet
Say no to plastic:
This year World Environment Day 2018, in particular, has been earmarked as the year when we should #BeatPlasticPollution. To protect the environment people should be introduced to small, plastic-free alternatives in their everyday lives. For instance, encourage them to say no to plastic cutlery of all kinds. Take the pledge today to eliminate unnecessary plastic from your life. Your kids will follow you if you take the lead.
Not to waste water:
Do we take water for granted? It’s natural to take water for granted since it flows easily out of the tap. All of us need to understand the importance of water and problems related to it. It’s never too late to start conserving water. Making just a few small adjustments to our daily habits can result in big water savings. We should save water for the proper supply of it to future generations without contaminating it. Water that goes straight down the drain without being properly used is a waste and is costly to you, the environment and us.
Plant a tree:
Just being around trees makes you feel good. Can you imagine your community without trees? Life could not exist on Earth without trees. The same thing has been repeated all over the world millions of time but it’s never been enough, that we need to plant more trees and give back to Mother Nature. Like the Chinese proverb goes:
‘The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The second best time is now.’
Get hold of a shovel, a bucket of water and a seedling from the local nursery and start planting.
Do not litter anywhere:
Littering the environment has a very negative impact on our planet and it vandalizes the areas where we live, work, and play. The litter consists of trash and household toxic substances that are improperly disposed of on land or in water. Somewhere we all are responsible for toxins in our lakes, rivers and the oceans. Littering is a harmful activity and should not be taken lightly as it impacts the environment in multiple ways.
Solar is a clean, renewable, and sustainable form of energy that can lessen your environmental impact and save you lots of money. The positive impact that solar energy provides are benefiting families and environment across the world. Switching to solar today is the best decision to hedge against the reality of finite fuel resources.
We all have greater responsibilities towards the environment and it doesn’t just stop with sharing it with future generations but also sharing the idea of conserving it.
